EX REV. DR. JAMES G. K. MCCLURE COLLECTION A beautiful borderline GEM that until recently had been off the market since the time of mintage! Original, deep toning bathes both sides of this highly reflective coin. Only some very light hairlines keep it from a higher grade. Only 575 were struck. PCGS 56, NGC 61, CAC 7. This is the only PR64+ at either service. It sold for $862 in the June 2016 sale of the McClure Collection. How cool is it that this coin has been in exactly one collection since the day it came off the press, as Rev. McClure was active at the time. These have become way too cheap in the current market, any coin that has fewer than 1,000 minted and can be bought for under $1,000 in GEM is a no-brainer! Certification Number 74251141016 PCGS # 5693
