- 1842 Braided Hair Cent. N-2. Rarity-1. Grellman Die State B. Small Date. MS-62 BN (PCGS). A bold, mostly reddish-copper example that exhibits a few swirls of lighter patination here and there around the obverse periphery. There are no abrasions of note, the surfaces quite smooth in outward appearance, yet a bit too subdued to warrant a Choice Mint State grade.
