A GLORIOUS N-11! This is the FINEST graded 1837 Head of 1838 large cent in all color categories. A sensationally bold luster engages the eye, glowing with a full rolling cartwheel brilliance. A warm brown undertone engages with hints of original red and a dusting of iridescent steely blue. The devices are crisply rendered from an exacting blow from the dies. The reverse die was in an advanced state, with multiple die cracks that add to the charm of this great looking 1837 large cent. PCGS 18, NGC 18, CAC 9. This is the only MS66+ BN graded and NONE are higher at PCGS. This GEM sold in an NGC MS66 BN holder back in November 2017 for $5,040.
