Lot Description

SHI DS3. A hard and frosty example with wisps of olive to otherwise autumn-orange brown patina. Light roughness in the planchet along the lower reverse border and here and there on the obverse is of no concern, the surfaces free of distracting marks and presenting as smooth during in-hand viewing. The date digits are a tad soft at bottom, but overall detail is bold. In sum, this is a lovely PCGS Choice EF for the variety whose greatest desirability is probably as a high grade circulated type coin to represent the wider New Jersey copper series.
