- 25 graded PR-64 CAM, 41 higher at PCGS. Painstaking details and blatant cameo contrast instill a feeling of satisfaction for the collector who requires a proof type Morgan dollar, and would prefer first-year-of-type representation. The obverse tempts the viewer into thinking the coin might qualify for gem status, but upgrade notions are denied by a highly curious arrangement of tiny hairlines that arc downward from the eagle's left (observed) wing. Regardless, some tasteful peach rim toning has begun to develop on either side and tends to augment the delightful cameo effect.
