Lot Description

Undated (1795) Washington North Wales Halfpenny. Baker-35, W-11190. Four Stars (a.k.a. Two Stars at Each Side of Harp). Copper. Plain Ed... 106.0 grains. A well-worn deep golden-brown example with precious few details of any sort present other than the central devices. Amazingly, the heavily worn surfaces are basically mark-free save for an old V-shaped mark on the reverse near 3 o'clock. Scarcer than the variety with single stars at either side of the reverse harp.
