Lot Description

Noyes Die State B/B. A nicely centered and well struck example showing sharp centrils to all stars. The rich caramel patina is mottled with deeper chocolate shades and complements the overall smooth surfaces. Satiny luster in the fields frames frosty design elements on each side. A spot of darker patina at the letter E in CENT readily identifies this as the Naftzger specimen, with provenance stretching back more than 65 years to the famed Dr. James O. Sloss Collection.
