- This is an absolutely gorgeous and well preserved example of this first year of gold dollars struck at the New Orleans mint and it is tied for FINEST GRADED at PCGS! Thickly frosted devices stand out against the lustrous, brilliant surfaces on this sharply struck jewel. Every detail is fully delineated. A strong glass will reveal some splashes of orange and soft olive-golden patina graces the otherwise brilliant yellow gold surfaces. The eye appeal is exceptional and remarkably high end.
