1868 Shield Nickel. FS-301 (FS-003.2). Repunched Date. MS-65 (PCGS). CAC. A bold naked-eye RPD, not even a loupe is needed to see wide repunching on all four digits in the date. Probable finest known for the variety, this coin is the only Mint State example currently listed at PCGS. A softly frosted Gem, both sides are further adorned with pretty champagne-apricot iridescence. Boldly struck in most areas, and silent on the subject of detracting blemishes, this piece represents an important find for the advanced variety collector!
