Lot Description

We note plenty of nice gloss to surfaces that are warmly toned in gently marbled walnut-brown and steel-olive. The latter color is associated with light scale, although this feature requires magnification to fully discern and is not distracting during in-hand viewing. Original planchet texture in the center of the reverse is also of little concern, and the same can be said for a thin flan flaw behind the effigy's mouth and nose. Free of troublesome post-production blemishes and only trivially off center to upper obverse and lower reverse, the latter area with the border through the bases of the digits in the date. This is one of the easier RR numbers to find choice, and the present mid-grade example is particularly desirable for type purposes.
