- 67.9 grains. Nicely mingled light brown and chocolate brown across both sides. Supremely attractive, with glossy surfaces and no significant marks. We spy a single horizontal hairline across the Indian's ankle at left, and positively trivial rim nicks above E of WEALTH and the left upright of M in MASSACHUSETTS, but nothing that impacts the visual appeal. The surfaces show a bit of natural granularity under a glass, as struck and as expected. The strike is excellent, the Indian is well defined, and HALF CENT is full. This is a very nice example of what must be considered the first Massachusetts half cent variety.
