1853-DN Round 50 Cents. BG-408. Rarity-6. Liberty Head. MS-62 (PCGS). Warm olive-gold patina blends with satiny luster on both sides of this boldly defined piece. This is an elusive die pairing, the present example finer than the Brand-Roe specimen certified AU-58 by PCGS in our (Bowers and Merena's) September 2003 sale of the Roe Collection.
