Lot Description

Much satiny mint luster brings out the crimson and azure halos at the obverse rims. Light gold throughout. The strike is decent for this late die state which is often mushy. PCGS 87, NGC 30, CAC 19. A highly pleasing coin, with more eye appeal than the vast majority of AU58s out there and worthy of a strong bid. The last Small 8 1811 in AU58 sold in our Regency XVII Auction in May 2016 for $2,468; the current PCGS value is $2,950. Great visual allure and provenance! Certification Number 28725825 PCGS # 39437
