Lot Description

The Isallobar Collection. Mintage: 210. Navy-grey patina has settled across almost the entirety of 1858 save the central portion of the reverse, where subtle, colorful hues emerge under a good lamp. Delicate, crisscrossing hairlines are nearly subdued by the patina. Very low emission ensures permanent key status for this inaugural proof, with examples very difficult to come by at any grade level.
