Lot Description

1824/2 Capped Bust Quarter. B-1, the only known dies. Rarity-3. Fine-15 (NGC). A well balanced appearance is seen on this example, with deep hues of charcoal-gray intermingled with lighter lilac overtones. Much design detail is still evident. A faint adjustment mark crosses from obverse star 10 to Liberty's hair curls.
