Description du lot
WHOA! Someone break out the sunglasses, this GEM is ultra reflective and highly lustrous! it is also the FINEST Prooflike 1887-S dollar at PCGS, UNIQUE at this lofty state of preservation. Deeply beaming mirrored fields show highly polished surfaces from the the freshness of the dies. The chrome-like texture to the untoned fields is intensely reflective and just shy of being borderline DMPL in depth. The frosted devices are fully struck up, with crisp bold definition. Aside from the slightest trace of contact, (which as you know is always exaggerated by the fragile nature of the PL surfaces) all we see is a tiny frost break on Liberty's cheek, which is all we can see as the preclusion to CAC beaning this GEM. To say the eye appeal is impressive is a glaring understatement! PCGS 1, NGC 2. NO PCGS MS65 PL has EVER sold in auction, and is unpriced in the Collectors Universe price guide. The Jack Lee DMPL sold in November 2005 for $25,300. A real prize for the most advanced of Morgan dollar collectors, this special coin will entice very strong bidding from every specialist in PL and DMPL dollars. Cert. Number 36759638 PCGS # 7181
