<strong>Obv:</strong> Similar to the circulating nickel three-cent pieces of the era, but on a larger scale. <strong>Rev:</strong> A large laurel wreath surrounds the denomination 5 CENTS. The pale aluminum-gray surfaces exhibit frosty motifs set against reflective fields. The <em>uspatterns.com</em> website suggests that fewer than a dozen examples of Judd-1055 are extant.
