An impressive, high end GEM example, tied for FINEST in the BN category (and none are graded higher numerically in ANY color designation at PCGS!). A very strong mint luster radiates brilliantly on both sides, bringing out the strong remnants of original mint red color that make this PQ GEM very close to a RB. Sharply struck devices on both sides show all details well defined from an exacting blow from the dies. PCGS 3, NGC 6, CAC 1. This coin sold in our December 2019 Regency Auction for $4,700. The current PCGS Price Guide value is listed at $6,000 and the CAC CPG value is $5,620. As tied for FINEST in the color category, and none are numerically finer in any color category, this exceptionally attractive coin will delight any type, two cent, or Civil War collector.
