FROM THE DAVID POOLE COLLECTION OF THREE CENT NICKELS. Beaming mirrors have a liquid mercury type of reflective texture in the fields. Boldly contrasted against the fully frosted devices, both sides have a pale greenish-gold tone. This beautiful 3CN is the epitome of what a GEM proof should be! Only 700 proofs were struck. PCGS 15, NGC 3, CAC 6. There are only three examples graded as PR65+ CAM with only 14 coins finer. This GEM sold in August 2010 for $2,530. While the market has unfairly beaten proof type coins like this over the last few years, a GEM coin like this should bring strong money. It is beautiful and should sell for a strong price. Cert.
