Lot Description

1855-O Liberty Half Eagle. AU-55 (NGC). A condition rarity from the modest mintage of 11,100 pieces in 1855. The fields show a degree of reflectivity and the color is bright yellow-gold. Just a hair from the top dozen known of this issue, and a numismatic prize for the astute collector. Shallow handling marks of light scratches and scuffs, but overall nice eye appeal.
