Lot Description

1895 Liberty Quarter Eagle. MS-65 (NGC). A gem example of a low mintage date that features not only reflective, semi-prooflike fields, but also a textured orange-peel effect in the fields. We do note a small number of light contact marks, none are too detracting. One of only 6,000 struck for circulation, Breen notes that examples of this date do come prooflike. A very scarce date in this grade, and quite rare higher.
