- Lot Description
- R-7-. 7-12 Minted. Struck in aluminum with a plain edge. VA very cool coin. There is a bold cameo appearance. Deep mirrors beam vividly from all over and they barely have any oxidation (typical to aluminum pieces) and are quite clean. Only with a strong glass can you see a slight die line or two. Miss Liberty and every detail are sharply struck and have thick frost. The eye appeal is great! PCGS 1, NGC 0, CAC 1. Of course, this is the finest J-701 that exists! This coin last sold at auction way back in 2002 for $1,840; certainly, it is worth much more today! Mr. Simpson paid $4,700 for it in the big collection he purchased in 2008. PCGS # 535176 Cert. Number 30931270 PCGS # 535176
