1949 Washington Quarter. MS-68 (PCGS). This captivating example is intensely vivid in a bold blend of multiple rich and inviting colors. Shades of antique copper, crimson-red, sea-green and olive-gold are seen on both sides, the deepest toning encircling the reverse periphery. In our opinion, this coin spent many years in a cardboard mint set holder that housed Uncirculated sets when ordered from the Mint.
