Lot Description

On Target Collection. Judd-951 (R.5). Struck on a silver planchet with a reeded edge, either side displays unexpectedly shallow details near the center, although this is often seen for these patterns. Only "TY" show in LIBERTY and on the reverse, CENTS/1870 barely shows and that area still retains pre-striking planchet striations. Very few abrasions visit either side and any that might persist are well hidden beneath a layer of lead-grey patina.
