Lot Description

1867-S Seated Liberty Quarter. Briggs 1-A. VG-10 (PCGS). An elusive issue in all grades, the 1867-S merits a Rarity-4+ ranking even in Good/VG (this rating is per Larry Briggs, 1991). Heavily worn with mostly silver-gray surfaces, the present example does retain outline definition to virtually all of the major devices. There are no individually mentionable abrasions apart from a few noteworthy scrapes around the obverse periphery.
