Lot Description

Glossy surfaces show somewhat of a circulated cameo appearance that contrasts generally charcoal-copper fields with lighter orange-brown motifs. Natural planchet texture remains, most significantly in the centers, which are softly struck. The impression is fairly well centered, however, and the general design appears bold during in-hand viewing. Some hard, ancient surface build up is associated with the darker color in the fields, but there are no marks of note apart from a similarly old graze at upper right obverse, close to a small planchet depression in that area.
