- 1848 Liberty Seated Half Dime. FS-302. Overdate or Repunched Date. AU-53 (PCGS). OGH. Bold underlying luster supports a rich and varied displayed of golden tones. The present writer (FVV) is much in favor of a repunched date status rather than an overdate for this variety; low magnification clearly reveals portions of an underlying 4 and 8 to the writer's eye.
