1812/1 Capped Bust Half Dollar. O-102. Rarity-2. Small 8. MS-63+ (NGC). Lustrous surfaces are a pleasant blend of golden-olive and russet tones with highlights of steel-blue and sea-green. Original frosty texture covers the surfaces and there are only minute signs of handling, nothing that takes away from the excellent overall appearance. This is an early to intermediate die state with modest flowlining at the borders and clash marks above the date, but no die crack through the date. The overdate feature is still quite sharp.
