Lot Description

This is a sensational example of this low mintage late date Liberty quarter eagle. Only 29,738 were produced, but luckily a number were saved in Mint State. However, in this lofty state of preservation it is very scarce and RARE any finer. A bold, satiny luster glows vividly accenting the great orange-gold coloration, The design elements are sharply impressed and the surfaces are truly a delight to behold! PCGS 47, NGC 49, CAC 16. There are just four in MS66+ and fewer than 20 are graded higher. The most recent example realized $2,520 in November 2020, and the current Collectors Universe value is listed at $3,500.
