- 1942 Jefferson Nickel. Type I. Proof-65 Cameo (PCGS). CAC. Secure Holder. Minimally toned, silver tinged surfaces reveal an uncommon degree of field to device contrast in a survivor of this 29,600-piece proof issue. In fact, this coin is the only proof 1942 Type I nickel to have received a CAM designation from PCGS as part of the grade. Frosty and fully impressed, the devices certainly contrast sharply with deeply mirrored fields. A rare and important offering for the advanced Registry Set collector.
