Lot Description

O-104 is a common die-marriage for 1821 and shows fine die lines positioned vertically in front of Liberty's throat, while "5" on the reverse leans distinctly to the right. Given the level of revolving cartwheel action, it would be easy to mistake this as a fully AU example, although overall remaining detail doesn't quite reach the necessary level of sharpness. That said, both sides depict absolutely beautiful album toning, with ruby-gold dominating the central areas, while cobalt and aquamarine hues illuminate the borders. A very attractive example of the date!
