1882 Gold Dollar. MS-68 (NGC). A glittering orange-gold jewel that boasts radiant luster, a solid strike and strong visual appeal. The surfaces are as perfect as a collector could hope to find, with virtually perfect quality and free of handling marks when closely examined. There is a minor planchet flake mentioned below OF on the obverse for identification. Mintage of 5,000 pieces and this certainly one of the very finest seen and tied as such with a select cluster of fifteen pieces at the very top of those known. Incredible quality for the astute numismatist.
