- 69.4 grains. This nicely centered example is on a generally round planchet that shows only a few shallow, straight clips, none of which encroach too deeply into any of the peripheral letters. A few are partially beyond the flan, mostly along the lower left obverse and at upper right reverse, but the legends are fully legible. Complete inner circles frame central motifs that are a bit soft, yet not unusually so for the grade, and all of their features are readily evident. Light pearl gray patina overall with blue-gray peripheral highlights further enhancing the visual appeal. We note only gentle signs of circulation and other light handling, no significant marks, a shallow internal flan flaw from the second Roman numeral I to the letter O in DOM on the reverse is as made and of no concern. All in all, a lovely Straight Tree Pine at the certified EF grade level.
