- Description du lot
- A borderline GEM of this ever popular key date Carson City Morgan dollar. A bold, frosty luster brings out the impressive clear gold toning that gracefully dusts both the obverse and reverse. Generally well struck with just a touch of weakness on Liberty's curls above her ear. The surfaces are minimally marked and are very eye appealing; the eye appeal is exemplary for the assigned grade. PCGS 398, NGC 165, CAC 54. The PCGS population includes 27 graded as MS64+. Keep in mind the finest graded is MS65+, so this is very close to the top of the populations. The most recent example to sell in auction was sold in our July 2017 Regency Auction for $11,750 and prior to that one sold in September 2016 Regency Auction, which brought $12,338 and the current PCGS Price Guide value is listed at $14,500. Remember that a PCGS MS65 CAC will cost $50,000+! A great coin for any advanced set. Cert. Number 36638592 PCGS # 7088
