Given the rarity and consequent cost of this issue in full Red Gem Mint State, the present example in PCGS/CAC MS-65 BN offers tremendous value for the astute Indian cent enthusiast. Some faded rose-orange mint color is actually retained on both sides, although in keeping with the color designation on the holder the surfaces are predominantly toned in rich antique copper-brown with a hint of steely-olive. Crisply struck with razor sharp detail throughout the design, this PQ example also delivers a smooth satin texture to the finish. Worthy of strong bids.
