Every single boss on the shield pops up and accompanies the strong details at Liberty's head, implying a nicely defined example. Surprising to most collectors is the fact that 1919 actually tends to come well struck, although it is far more often found in heavily circulated grades such that the date is weak or partially visible. Premium, mint-state examples are a sight to behold. Either side emits only decent luster, while the beige surface seems to be relatively free from contact for only the "choice" level.
