Losbeschreibung: 1825 Matron Head Cent. N-3. Rarity-3. AU-55 (PCGS). A glossy example toned in milk-chocolate shades with swaths of deeper espresso-brown across each side. The surfaces are smooth and evenly worn under inspection, with just a small mark at the E of CENT to serve as the most convenient pedigree marker. The obverse is nicely centered though just the tips of the denticles remain visible around the border, and the reverse is drawn towards 11 o'clock as is typical. A late die state example showing both obverse cracks and the stars and legends drawn to the edge in some areas. Noyes Die State B/A (late). Provenance: From the Paradise Collection.
