1834 Matron Head Cent. N-2. Rarity-1. Small 8, Large Stars, Medium Letters. MS-64+ BN (PCGS). CAC. Both sides of this cent exhibit umber surfaces with a lovely, slightly frosted texture. Upon rotation, the slightest traces of mint Red pierce through protected areas of the reverse. The strike is strong and well balanced with characteristic die cracks well evident. Conveying a distinct lack of marks or carbon, this near-Gem is exceptional for the grade. PCGS Population: 3; just 6 finer in this category (MS-66 BN finest) PCGS# 1708.
