- 1886 Liberty Seated Half Dollar. Proof-64 Cameo (NGC). Rich rose-gray patina with underlying reddish-gold iridescence adding further appeal at direct viewing angles. A popular and eagerly sought Liberty Seated half dollar in all grades, the 1886 has a combined mintage of just 5,886 Proofs and circulation strikes. The Proofs, of which 886 pieces were produced, are often selected for inclusion in high grade date sets, for such pieces are more readily obtainable than their Mint State counterparts.
