- Lot Description
- 1887 Liberty Seated Dime. Proof-66 (PCGS). CAC.
The present specimen displays smooth, richly toned surfaces that would settle for nothing less than a full PR-66 grade. This date is quite scarce above the PR-65 level. Fortunately for the strike, it, like the toning, is outstanding and this is a superlative 1887. The coin is, for all intents and purposes, close to perfection and accompanied by a CAC sticker. Only 710 pieces were minted.
PCGS Population: 18 in PR-66; just 3 finer (PR-67+ finest)
