Lot Description

This snappy BU example is sharply struck overall, the obverse satiny in finish while the reverse has more of a frosty texture. Both sides are dusted with delicate silvery iridescence and show only minor marks to confirm the PCGS-assigned grade. The 1883-S is often overshadowed by the 1884-S, but the former still numbers among the scarcer early date San Francisco Mint Morgan dollar issues in Mint State.
