Lot Description

1893-S Liberty Head Double Eagle. MS-62 (PCGS). CAC. Lovely orange-rose surfaces are further adorned with full satin luster. Sharply to fully struck throughout. The 1893-S (mintage: 141,350 pieces) is a moderately scarce issue by 1890s Liberty Head eagle standards, although in an absolute sense enough examples have been found in foreign bank hoards that locating one in the MS-60 to MS-62 grade range should pose no problem under normal market conditions.
