- The lowest feather was polished off of the die, resulting in the so-called "2 feather" variety. This same polishing procedure undoubtedly bears responsibility for the insufficiently defined motifs, although this particular 1925-S seems slightly sharper than usual for the date. Lovely, satiny silver-pearl helps create a nice presentation. One in a series of very difficult San Francisco issues of the 1920s.
