<strong>Obv:</strong> By Charles E. Barber. Bust of Liberty facing left that is the same type as that adopted for regular issue Liberty Head nickel production in 1883. Thirteen stars are arranged around the border, seven left and six right, the motto IN GOD WE TRUST is above, and the date 1882 is below. <strong>Rev:</strong> The No CENTS design that the Mint adopted for the regular issue Liberty Head nickel in 1883. This fully struck specimen is untoned to allow ready appreciation of a nicely cameoed finish. Of this type the <em>uspatterns.com</em> website observes:<p><em>Many people believe that this design is better than the accepted production one. We do not know why it was rejected.</em>
