D.W. COLLECTION. Among the four FINEST 1884-S dimes graded at PCGS. Sharply struck devices are accented by a rich toning and a lovely satin bloom. The quality is VERY high end. Housed in an old green tag holder. PCGS 1, NGC 5, CAC 1. This GEM last sold in auction 11 years ago, selling for $8,338 in the 2006 Central States auction. Only four coins are graded finer at PCGS. The current PCGS Price Guide is listed at $5,000 but we think that is too low, however, a PCGS MS66 (no-CAC) sold in October 2016 for $5,640.
