Lot Description

1900 Barber 10¢. Proof-66 PCGS. Cameo-like on the obverse, though somewhat less so on the reverse. The deep silver-steel frosted head of Liberty on the obverse contrasts boldly with the similarly toned surrounding mirror field, with the center encircled by a rich halo of varied orange and crimson iridescence toward the rim. The reverse appears much the same but with some pale powder-blue iridescence in the field for good measure. One for a collector who enjoys colorfully toned 19th Century coinage. PCGS #4884
