1652 Massachusetts Bay Colony Pine Tree Shilling. Large Planchet. Noe-6, W-720. Rarity-6. Without Pellets at Trunk. VF-25 (PCGS). 69.75 grains. Deep steel-gray with golden-gray highlights. Curved rim clip at top, straight-edge clip at 9 o'clock, some weakness from an old S-bend present, centering strong, weakness at M, otherwise obverse mark-free, reverse also perfectly centered, curved clip at top encroaches on AND, first N in ENGLAND backward, heavy break at M, another upward from 6 to beaded circle.
