Exceptional Superb Gem Proof 1874 Liberty Seated Quarter 1874 Liberty Seated Quarter. Arrows. Proof-67 (PCGS). Here is an incredible Proof example of the brief Arrows, Motto Liberty Seated quarter design type. The toning is exquisite with fiery crimson-russet and gold at the centers, framed in electric blue around the border on both sides. The preservation is incredible, as there are no handling marks or other significant blemishes. One tiny, ancient carbon fleck within the vertical shield lines on the reverse is noted solely for identification. Sharply struck and one of the very finest certified of both the type and issue. From a mintage of 700 Proofs and one of just two issues of the Arrows, Motto Liberty Seated quarter design type of 1873 to 1874. Survivors in all grades are at least scarce, while at the Superb Gem grade level, as here, the Proof 1874 is rare.
