1851-O Liberty Seated Half Dollar. WB-101, Die Pair WB-4. Rarity-3. MS-64 (PCGS). CAC. OGH. Intensely lustrous and sharply struck. A bold expanse of deep steel and blue iridescence highlights the obverse, with the reverse exhibiting some natural brilliance in the eagle's plumage which quickly gives way to varied gold, blue, and violet iridescence throughout. The Petry-Clapp-Eliasberg specimen, and among the 11 finest examples of the date certified by PCGS, see below.
