Lot Description

The Crimson Collection. Newcomb-16. A die crack encircles the entire reverse periphery. Bronze accents emerge on many of the high relief areas, such as on the cheek, above the brow and ridges in the hair curls. These often seem to be found with doubling of the profile, but not so here for this cleanly struck example. Remarkably few bagmarks affect the surface given the grade level, but an ancient hairline veers off to the right from beneath "E" in ONE.
